The car park is off Highfield Road. The gardens are 2.1 km from Canterbury train station.
Sports schedule
The North and South ovals at Highfield Park host numerous sports across the summer and winter seasons. When training or matches are taking place, the oval must be cleared to ensure the safety of all players, pets and visitors.
The winter season runs from 1 April 2025 to 30 September 2025. The 2025 winter season schedule for Highfield Park:

* Council recently endorsed the ‘Organised Sport Seasonal Allocation Policy’. The Policy allows for night matches to take place at a number of pre-approved sportsgrounds across the municipality during the winter season (1 April to 30 September), with all matches needing to be completed by 9:30 pm (9 pm on Sundays). This sportsground has been pre-approved for night matches and may have some night matches throughout the season.
