To apply for an Individual Participation Grant, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Check the eligibility and funding conditions

Read through the eligibility and conditions page to see if you are eligible for the grant.

Step 2: Submit the application form

If you meet the eligibility criteria, apply for an Individual Participation Grant.

Make sure you complete all sections of the form and attach:

  • proof of your residential status in the municipality (for example, a copy of your driver’s license – front and back – or a rates notice)
  • a copy of your government means tested card.

We can only assess your application when we’ve received all of these documents.

If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian needs to complete the application.

Step 3: Application assessment

We assess applications in the order that we receive them.

We'll let you know if your application is successful within 14 days of the acknowledgement email. If there are any delays, we’ll contact you.

Step 4: Claiming your grant funding

If your application is successful, you will need to submit your approval letter to your chosen sports club.

Your chosen sports club will complete the Sports club individual participation grant claim form and reduce your registration/membership fee.
