Apply for an Individual Achievement Grant
Individual Achievement Grants support high-achieving individuals who are selected to compete, perform or represent their chosen sport, recreation, arts or cultural field. The grants provide partial help with expenses.
Funding is available for 2 streams:
Active Community
- Grants are available for community members representing either Victoria or Australia in a national or international sporting event.
- Grants are up to $200 for events held within Australia and $300 for events held outside Australia.
- Applications are accepted all year round or until the funding allocated has been used.

Individual participation grants
We also invite applications for our Individual Participation Grants. These grants help disadvantaged community members join a club. Check eligibility criteria and find out more.
Creative Community
- Grants are available for community members performing or studying at a national or international level.
- Applicants can apply for up to $300 each.
- Applications are accepted all year round or until the funding allocated has been used.
Only 1 grant per arts discipline is given in each quarter of the financial year. The disciplines are:
- dance
- singing (solo or as a group)
- drama
- music
- visual art
- multimedia or new technology
- other.
