Immunisation helps protect our community from serious diseases by using our body's natural defence system to build resistance to a disease.

Getting vaccinated is an important part of immunisation.

We provide free vaccinations for children as part of the National Immunisation Program Schedule. Find out more on our Childhood immunisation page.

Make an appointment

You must make an appointment to get immunised.

We use Central Immunisation Records Victoria (CIRV) as our online booking platform. CIRV is a Victorian Department of Health website.

  1. Create an account on CIRV.
  2. Once you have an account, you can sign in any time to make, change or cancel an immunisation appointment.
  3. Select 'Confirm' as the final step of making, changing or cancelling a booking on CIRV.
  4. You'll receive an SMS confirmation from CIRV to confirm that your appointment has been made, changed or cancelled.

We offer guidance on how to use Central Immunisation Records Victoria in the documents below.

Attending an immunisation appointment

If you or your child are feeling unwell on the day of your appointment with a fever, runny nose, sore throat, or cough, you must reschedule.

Bring your child's green book and Medicare card. One parent or guardian can come with a child to their appointment.

Wear short or loose-fitting sleeves to make it easier to administer the vaccine.

Please don't arrive any earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. You'll be asked to come back closer to your appointment time if you arrive too early.

You must stay for 15 minutes after the vaccination.
