About Alfred Road Kindergarten (ARK)

A positive, playful and nurturing environment where children learn, grow and have fun.

The program focuses on play-based learning. Children engage in music, movement, art, cooking and gardening in secure indoor and outdoor spaces. Alfred Road also participates in the Victorian Government Early Childhood Language Program and offers a Chinese (Mandarin) language program at no extra cost. 3-year-old kindergarten program

Wombats – 22 places

This program offers 15 hours of free kinder per week.

This program offers 15 hours of free kinder per week and 7.5 hours of additional optional hours.

The Victorian Government Free Kinder initiative is available at this kindergarten.

3-year-old kindergarten program:

  • Wombats (15 hours per week): Free

4-year-old kindergarten program:

  • Koalas (15 hours per week): Free
  • Additional hours (7.5 hours per week): $1125 or $1055 for concession card holders

  • promote continuous improvement in the provision of quality education and care
  • improve knowledge and access to information about the quality of services to help families make informed decisions about their child’s education and care.
