A heatwave warning has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology until Saturday 23 November. Visit the Bureau of Meteorology website for more information.

All dogs and cats over the age of 3 months must be microchipped and registered with their local council by 9 April each year.

If your pet is already registered with us, you'll get a pet renewal notice by post in March. If you haven't registered your pet yet, you need to register your pet online.

Update pet registration details

You must update your pet registration details before you renew if any of the following have occurred:

  • your pet registration details have changed or are incorrect
  • your pet has passed away
  • you or your pet have moved.

If you have moved to Boroondara from another council area, you will need to transfer your pet registration.
