Community and Neighbourhood Houses

Neighbourhood House Week runs from 12 to 18 May. Many neighbourhood houses will be hosting come and try sessions to mark this week. Check back in mid-April to find out what's coming up.

Events and classes

There's a range of activities, workshops and events on offer to suit all ages and abilities. These include arts and crafts, school holiday programs, fitness, English language classes and more.

Neighbourhood Houses Framework

Our Neighbourhood Houses Framework explains how we will work together with neighbourhood houses to deliver on strategies of the Boroondara Community Plan. These strategies are from Theme 1: Community, Services and Facilities, and they will make sure that community services and facilities are high quality, sustainable, inclusive and strengthen resilience. We developed this framework in consultation with the neighbourhood houses of Boroondara. It formalises the important role that neighbourhood houses play in delivering programs and services that support our community’s health and wellbeing and the support Council provides.
