Activities for seniors

A friendly club for retirees with activities that include quarterly day bus trips, lunches, walks, scrabble, mah-jong, table tennis and more. New members and visitors welcome. Takes place on various days and at various locations. Cost: contact club for details.

Lions Clubs are part of community life, in our cities and the country. Each club is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy.

Members of Lions Australia have the opportunity to experience a number of personal benefits including leadership skills, a sense of self-worth and purpose, business skills, networking opportunities and lifelong friendships.

The Lions Club of Boroondara Gardiners Creek meets regularly at the Craig Family Centre. Members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work together in a friendly environment to help others in the greater Boroondara community.

Learn language skills tailored for daily tasks, from reading labels to filling out forms. Gain confidence in navigating real-world situations, understanding Australian culture, enhancing independence and participation in society.

We welcome new students at anytime, however, you will need an interview with the co-ordinator before enrolling.

Men's Shed Online aims to help people connect in the same way they do at the shed – over a cuppa and a laugh.

Stay connected and inspired with highlights from the NGV including the stories behind their Collection works, virtual exhibition tours, essays, interviews and more.

A great environment in which to enjoy both pennant and social lawn bowls and then relax within a friendly social atmosphere - 'Play Bowls, Make Friends' is our motto - or join our very popular Bridge card group. Excellent car parking on site.

The North Balwyn Community Men's Shed (NBCMS) is a fully equipped workshop for people to come and share tools, fellowship and enjoy the satisfaction of producing quality products. Everyone is welcome at NBCMS whether you're an expert in woodworking or a complete novice looking for social interaction.

We are a mixed group of seniors whose Club has monthly Monday meetings with a guest speaker. Other varied and interesting activities are also organised including dine-outs, excursions, theatre, films, walks, garden groups, caravan and cabin group, craft and conversation group, picnics.
