Free bundled green waste collections are available from Monday 2 October to Friday 3 November for eligible residents keen to get their yards ready for summer. If you’re pruning your trees and shrubs, you can arrange for branches, single tree limbs and tree roots to be picked up and recycled by our team.
Before you put your green waste on your nature strip, make sure:
- branches and prunings are less than 7.5 cm in diameter and 1.5 m long
- bundles are tied with natural fibres or twine – please don’t use plastic string
- the size of your pile is 2 cubic metres – around what would fit into 2 small trailers
- there are no vehicles parked in front of your pile (if possible)
- put your waste out the weekend before collection, or the night before, to avoid others adding to your pile.
