Paperless hard waste is a winner

Hard waste collection is a high-demand service in Boroondara, and we’re improving how we deliver it for you.

Last year, we replaced paper-based pick-up schedules and reporting with a mobile app and tablets our team now use in our hard waste collection trucks. 

Updates fed in real time back to the Waste Operations team and our Customer Connect team will help keep you informed when you call us with a query about your hard waste booking. Streamlining this service means we’re also getting to customers’ properties quicker when you need us.

We provide around 27,000 hard waste collections for our customers each year. Thanks to these improvements, we’ve reduced collection wait times from 4 to 6 weeks to 3 weeks or less.

Residents who have their kerbside bins collected by us can book 2 hard rubbish collections each financial year.
