Notice is hereby given that Boroondara City Council resolved on 16 December 2024 to give public notice of its intention to declare a Balwyn North Special Rate and Charge (Proposed Scheme) in line with section 163 of the Local Government Act 1989.
The Proposed Scheme will be declared for the purpose of defraying the expenses of advertising, promotion, Centre management, business development and other incidental expenses associated with the encouragement of commerce at the Centre.
It will start on 1 July 2025 and remain in force for a period of 5 years, ending 30 June 2030.
A copy of the public notice, including a map of the scheme area, is available to download.

Council will consider whether to declare the Proposed Scheme at a meeting on Monday 26 May 2025 (or such other date as Council subsequently determines).
