On behalf of the City of Boroondara, we extend our heartfelt support to everyone affected by the tragic incident at Auburn South Primary School yesterday. We understand that traumatic events like this have a deep and lasting impact on our community.
To provide immediate support, we are partnering with the SES, Red Cross, VCC Emergencies Ministry, the Salvation Army and the Victoria Police community policing unit to establish a community support hub at Anderson Park, by the tennis court, Anderson Road, Hawthorn East. This space is available to provide solidarity, comfort and access to community support services for neighbouring residents, families and friends, alongside the support the Department of Education is providing the Auburn South Primary School community.
The hub will be open from tomorrow, Thursday 31 October 2024, 11 am to 7 pm. We invite all community members to come together during this challenging time.
