Mental Health Month (MHM) is about raising awareness about mental health and wellbeing and to promote better health for everyone in Australia.

The initiative runs throughout October and the theme for this year is “let’s talk about it”.

World Mental Health Day falls on 10 October 2024 and aims to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world.

Mental health and our community

Mental health and fostering social connections are important to the wellbeing of Boroondara residents. They are part of the priorities in both the Boroondara Community Plan 2021-31 and the Children and Young People’s Action Plan 2020-25.

This Mental Health Month, we encourage everyone in Boroondara to take time for yourselves and connecting with your local community.

Many events and activities are being held to support awareness of Mental Health Month that we encourage you to check out and get involved in.
