Victoria Park is suitable for celebrations and small community events, as well as casual gatherings.

The north end features a barbecue with covered seating and tables alongside one of the area’s most exciting playgrounds. There is also a smaller playground with a barbecue and covered seating and tables at the south end.

You can book a grass area in the park for your exclusive use.

We require at least 5 full business days notice for bookings.

For this space, you can apply to bring:
– up to 20 chairs and 3 tables
– a marquee or arbour covering up to 40 square metres.

Accessible playground

The accessible playground at Victoria Park offers accessible sensory, active and nature play features for children of all ages and abilities.

These include:

  • a revitalised bluestone wall and embankment
  • an adventure trail with embankment climb and 6-metre-high pyramid climb
  • a family-friendly learn to scoot, skate and ride pump track
  • a fitness station
  • a sandpit with inclusive play edge
  • a build-your-own-cubby feature with an accessible frame
  • a water pump with a log and creek channel
  • flying fox with accessible harness seat
  • wheelchair-accessible in-ground trampoline.

Parking and transport

The car park is accessible from High Street or Adeney Avenue. 

The number 48 tram stops near the park entrance on High Street.

Booking times

7 days including public holidays.

April to October: 8 am to 6 pm.

November to March: 8 am to 8:30 pm.

Accessibility

A wheelchair-accessible barbecue is located at the park. 

Accessible car parking spaces are in the public car park in front of the north oval. 

There are accessible toilets at the toilet block in the cemetery.

There is a Changing Places accessible toilet near the playground. The closest access is via Adeney Avenue near Campbell Street. For more information, visit our Changing Places page.
