Summer in the Park is back in February and March 2024. Over 6 weekends, with 16 events at 11 parks and gardens, experience live theatre, jazz, opera and more!

About the program

Summer in the Park is one of our most loved series of arts and culture events.

It features an exciting program of free events in our iconic parks and gardens.

Guests can also enjoy several pop-up one-hour performances across Boroondara as part of this year’s ‘Bite Sized’ program of events and entertainment.

So pack a picnic, gather your family and friends and head to our idyllic parks and gardens this summer.

Weather

Summer in the Park will still be held in mild to poor weather conditions. In the event of heavy rain or storms, the event may be cancelled for safety reasons. We are unable to reschedule cancelled events.

What to bring

Bring a picnic, picnic rug and an appetite to enjoy our stunning parks and gardens.

You may also like to consider bringing:

  • sun-safe items like sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
  • comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
  • a lawn chair that won't block the view of other guests
  • your pet dog, as long as they are on lead and supervised at all times.

Food and drink

Food vendors won't be at the parks. We encourage you to bring a picnic or to order take-away from the many local traders near the event sites.

Alcohol is permitted. Please be mindful of laws regarding public intoxication and drink responsibly.
