Event details
Dr Eleonora Cattini will talk about self compassion as an antidote to self criticism.
Fleeting negative thoughts and criticising ourselves is part of the human experience. Developing self compassion has been shown to be an effective way to minimise emotional challenges
Compassion is a virtue we can all foster and cultivate with practice. Research shows a strong relationship between increased self compassion and improved wellbeing. Over time practicing self compassion can:
- improve mood
- lessen anxiety
- reduce loneliness.
In this session, we'll explore self compassion and learn exercises to develop a practice. We'll focus on how parents can support their children and perhaps learn some skills themselves along the way.
