Event details
The Community Fair is a festival-style event that will engage the local community while showcasing the vital work of Guide Dogs Victoria and the diverse range of services and programs on offer that transform the lives of people with low vision or blindness.
Welcoming over 2500 people on-site, the fair that will feature:
- Guide Dog demonstrations
- puppy meet 'n' greets
- children's activities such as glitter tattoos and face painting
- a dedicated art expo showcasing artwork from artists with low vision or blindness
- volunteer-run sausage sizzle and cake stall as well as other food trucks
- an open house tour of the facilities on-campus with information sessions designed to raise awareness.
Our Community Fair is all about welcoming our huge support network and clients on-campus for a celebration of everything Guide Dogs Victoria has achieved in the past few years.
Everyone in our local community and broad-reaching network is welcome and we hope to create a family-friendly festival that will celebrate our clients, dogs and supporters!
