The social interactions and connections that are formed increase a sense of community and minimise isolation. Outdoors and fresh air help people feel better physically and mentally. Residents can appreciate the open spaces and public amenities in a safe, alcohol-free environment.The event usually has great singers, along with bands and choirs. Kids’ activities start the evening with a family picnic including sausage sizzle, and of course, a visit from Santa. The carols program has many songs and solos about Jesus’ birth and ends with a fireworks show. Donations made at the event are directed to local charities.
