Join us as we compete in the 2025 City Nature Challenge!You'll be helping to put Boroondara's flora and fauna on the world map, whilst contributing to important citizen science data collection. The challenge runs for 4 days only, from Friday 25 to Monday 28 April 2025.We invite you to come along and join in an evening of insect spotting and identification with the Entomological Society of Victoria. We will be on hand to help you spot, learn about, and record your sightings, as we focus on our amazing insect species! We will take you on a guided walk through the park to spot various spider species, followed by the opportunity to look at moths on our moth sheet!We will be running 2 events on Sunday 27 April:Family-friendly walk, 6 to 7 pm – Register for Family-friendly walkWalk aimed at adults, 7 to 8 pm – Register for walk aimed at adultsWhat to bringPlease wear appropriate clothing and shoes for an outdoor walk along uneven ground. Please bring a torch and be prepared for the weather.You may like to watch a video to learn how to use the iNaturalist app, if this is your first time participating in the City Nature Challenge.
