Activities for seniors

Balwyn Rotary is part of Rotary International which is the largest humanitarian organisation in the world. Our club runs a number of different projects both for the local community and across the world. We meet weekly at Greenacres Golf Club for our dinner meeting.

A fortnightly group for like-minded ladies to meet over lunch with a focus on women's issues, health, beauty, craft, guest speakers and outings. This long-standing group meet at the Ashburton Community Centre on the first Thursday of the month.

A supportive group who meet through their love of words. Enjoy a group discussion on current affairs, tackle the daily crossword together and challenge each other over the Scrabble board.

Many aged care services provide community buses to pick you up for regular trips to local shopping centres, libraries, senior citizen clubs and community health centres. There are also volunteer drivers who can take you to medical appointments and the like. Contact My Aged Care to see if you're eligible for subsidised services. If you are eligible an assessor will help you find services to suit your needs.

Many of our members are keen and curious travellers, and their journeys take them all over the world. Come and hear their stories, and perhaps share your own. Become a member of U3A Deepdene to access these and over 70 other courses and activities.

Walking is a great way to keep active - a perfect fit for those who enjoy a stroll and a chat.

Weather permitting, you meet every Tuesday morning for a cruise around Camberwell!
