Activities for seniors

The Kew Garden Club meets once a month (from February to November) in the Phyllis Hore Room at Kew Library. There are always interesting speakers demonstrating and discussing a broad range of topics relating to gardening with both members and visitors. The meeting is usually followed by afternoon tea which allows time for people to catch up in more detail with the speaker and to socialise with other members. Plant sales available.

I run a laughter club session with warming up stretches, laughter yoga exercises and a meditation every Monday on Zoom from 7pm to 7.30pm to promote laughter for health, happiness, wellbeing and community bonding.

The club provides members (males and females) with the opportunity to compete in the game of lawn bowls at all competitive levels. It also provides social bowls and events to those that prefer the less competitive environment. Indoor Bias Carpet Bowls are played in the winter months. Booking required - please contact us to book. Enjoy lawn bowling in an attractive facility, free coaching provided. Play socially with friends, or competitively in Tuesday and Saturday pennant competitions. It is a fun and challenging activity for all ages, abilities and fitness levels. It's a great way to keep fit and healthy, and meet people. Bridge is a much-loved card game that is played all over the world. Join others in this friendly group and learn how to play Bridge.

A friendly club for retirees with activities that include quarterly day bus trips, lunches, walks, scrabble, mah-jong, table tennis and more. New members and visitors welcome. Takes place on various days and at various locations. Cost: contact club for details.
