You can visit a new 55-metre community mural at Hartwell Shopping Village at 1126-1142 Toorak Road, Camberwell.
The mural adds extra colour and life to the variety of retail stores, eateries and professional services within the shopping village.
How the mural was created
In 2023, we engaged local artist Angharad Neal-Williams to lead the project.
Angharad worked with students at 4 local primary schools to get to the heart of what our community loves about Hartwell.
Over 250 students depicted the activities they like to do with their friends and family nearby.
Their artwork now sits alongside Angharad’s own illustrations. Graphic artist Nicole van Dijk has transformed the images into a beautiful and vibrant 55-metre-long collage.
Thank you to all the students involved from:
- Camberwell South Primary School
- Glen Iris Primary School
- Hartwell Primary School and
- St Dominic's Primary School.
