Kew Traffic School
The school offers a safe environment for children to learn road safety - they also gain confidence and skills.
School groups are welcome to participate in safety education programs.
The school is also open for private bookings and school holiday sessions for families.
The Kew Traffic School, at the corner of Cotham and Grange roads, Kew, is one of the most popular recreation facilities in our City.
It is almost fully booked throughout the year so it is essential you read the following information before you book for your preferred dates/times.
Kew Traffic School Open Night
Kew Traffic School Open Night will be held on Friday 12 March 2010.
Safety education program
School bookings
School or kindergarten groups can phone 9817 4831 from Monday to Friday to book.
Booking times and costs are:
- $95 either 10am to 11.30am or 1pm to 2.30pm
- $112 two sessions in the same day - 10am to 11.30am and 1pm to 2.30pm
- $112 double booking from 10am to 1pm
Private bookings
Private bookings can be made up to 12 months in advance, with full payment required within two weeks of booking.
Please read the information sheet before making or enquiring about a booking at Kew Traffic School, to ensure it's the venue you want.
If payment is not received within this time, your booking will be forfeited.
No refunds are available, but if a booking is cancelled because of poor weather an alternative booking will be offered.

Fees
- $95 - all community groups at any time
Monday to Friday:
- $165 - from 3.30pm to 6pm
Saturday and Sunday:
- $165 - from 10am to 12.30pm
- $165 - from 12.45pm to 3.15pm
- $165 - from 3.30pm to 6pm; during daylight saving time (starting at 2am on Sunday 4 October 2009 and ending on Sunday 4 April 2010) this booking can be extended to 7pm for an extra cost of $30 - a total of $195.
Credit card payments
Pay by credit card - download and print a credit card payment form specifically for Kew Traffic School private bookings and return via post or fax - the details are on the form.
Alternatively, you can forward a cheque made payable to City of Boroondara, to Kew Traffic School, City of Boroondara, Private Bag 1, Camberwell VIC 3124.
School holiday program
Our next school holiday program will begin Monday 29 March and finish Friday 9 April 2010. (Closed Good Friday 2 April & Easter Monday 5 April)
Session times are:
- 9.30am to 11.30am (2-5 years)
- 12noon to 2pm (6-10 years)
Session costs are:
- $9.50 per child
- $7 per child; for a booking of six or more children.
