Putting talent to the test this winter

An audience watches an orchestra performing

Be wowed by magnificent music and powerful performances at our beloved Boroondara Eisteddfod.

Now in its 32nd year, the prestigious Boroondara Eisteddfod defines the winter season on our Boroondara Arts calendar.

Over 16 weeks of competition and events, hundreds of performers test their talent across more than 60 sections.

Performance disciplines include piano, vocals, strings, woodwind, brass, classical guitar – and new to this year’s competition are speech and drama.

The Eisteddfod program gives performers of all ages a fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills, gain valuable feedback from judges and share the joy of performing.

The competition grows each year, with record registrations of more than 1,000 entries in recent seasons.

The Eisteddfod is on until 10 September at Hawthorn Arts Centre.
