Summer at your library

Get making for Christmas

Your library membership could be the key to a creative Christmas. Make Christmas stockings, ornaments, edibles, gifts and cards with the help of CreativeBug, one of the many apps you can access as a library member. It has unlimited arts and crafts videos and resources to get you started, from painting and screen printing to sewing and crocheting. You’ll find seasonal and holiday craft projects, and a Christmas Craft Challenge.

By logging in via your membership you can also access e-books, audio books, newspapers and magazines, stream films and TV shows, use local and family history resources and access materials in diverse languages.

Fresh air, cool reads and free WiFi

Escape the heat at one of Boroondara’s 6 libraries this summer. Log in to the free WiFi or browse the book collection to find your next favourite novel or non-fiction read.

For children and young people, our Big Summer Read program, starting from 1 December, is a great place to start with prizes to be won.

If you prefer fresh air, you can also access free WiFi in the Mayoress’ courtyard right next to Camberwell Library. Reach it from the glass doors at the back of the library and settle in under a shady tree to surf the web or read a book.
