Some of our services are closed or have different hours over the Christmas and New Year period.

This year's Boroondara Photograph Competition included the theme 'Diverse Boroondara' and continued our special category 'My 2021 experience'.

The competition judges considered the photographs in 2 categories:

  1. the Open Photograph Competition for people of all ages
  2. the Young Photographers Competition for school-aged photographers.

Ian Spence received this year's Best in Competition for The Rivoli.

You can view the winning entries at the Hawthorn Arts Centre 'Diverse Boroondara' exhibition. You can also see previous entries for the Boroondara Photograph Competition in our extensive local history photograph collection

We are always looking to add more images of Boroondara to our collection, so if you have some great images of the local area, please consider donating a copy. To find out more about donating a photograph, visit our Local and family history page
