Event details
In celebration of International Day of Yoga, attend a special morning yoga session in the tranquil setting of Town Hall Gallery, Hawthorn. Practise poses surrounded by dreamy paintings in the major exhibition ‘The Long Way: Kevin Chin’.
Yoga instructors Sasha Luckey, Kacey Smith and Melia Wong will facilitate the class and a light morning tea will be provided afterwards. Three yoga styles will be covered during the session including Yin, Slow Flow and Vinyasa.
This event is open to all adults and all levels of yoga experience. Numbers are limited to 45 so register now to attend.
Comfortable athletic wear is recommended.
Schedule of event
8:15 am – Register and set up
8:30 am – Yoga session begins
9:30 am – Yoga session concludes and morning tea.
What to bring
Bring a towel and water bottle.
Yoga mats will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own.
About the instructors
Sasha Luckey
Sasha is a dedicated yoga instructor for over 6 years and is certified in Vinyasa and Yin. Her focus on breath, alignment and myofascial release benefits practitioners of all levels. Beyond yoga, Sasha enjoys hiking, meditation and cooking experiments.
Kacey Smith
Kacey is the Founder of Kula Yoga Hawthorn, where she aims to help the Boroondara community 'Be Strong, Move Freely & Breathe Deeply'. Kacey has built a strong community through Kula, offering workshops and retreats beyond studio classes.
Melia Wong
Since 2006, Melia embraced yoga for its tension-relieving benefits. Balancing strength, flexibility and mental clarity, she finds solace in daily practice. Specialising in anatomy and injury prevention, she thrives in teaching tailored sessions and prioritising individual progress.
