This is a great way to refresh your wardrobe, reduce textile waste and promote a circular economy.Rachel Wood from Wunder Weave will be on-hand to help guide you through the process and explain how to get the most out of a clothes swap. Receive tips on:what to look forhow to assess the quality of itemshow to create a versatile wardrobe with pieces that work well together.Invite your friends and make a day of it. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, swap fashion tips, and help reduce textile waste. So, clean out your closet, bring unwanted clothing items, and get ready to swap 'til you drop!How it worksRegistrations are essential and involve a $15 registration fee. This event will be for women’s clothing and accessories, with attendees invited to bring up to 5 items of clothing and up to 5 accessory items (no jewellery).Items will be checked before being accepted, and you will receive one token for every acceptable item of clothing or accessories to use in the swap. If deemed unsuitable, you will not receive a token.Clothes and accessories can include:tops, shirts, blouses and jacketspants, jeans and skirtsdresses, jumpsuits and suitsbelts, bags and shoes (up to 2 pairs)scarves, ties and hats.We will not accept the following types of clothes and accessories:clothes that are pillaged or damaged with holes, rips, stains or major faultsunderwear, swimwear, overused pyjamas, or overused workout gear.We cannot guarantee you will find something on the day, and you will not be able to take the clothing you have brought back.Any leftover items will be distributed to relevant local charities.Schedule for the day9:30 am to 10:30 am - Check-in and drop off clothes10 am to 11 am - Presentation and demonstration by Rachel Wood: Clothes swap success11 am to 11:30 am - Light vegetarian lunch*11:30 am to 1 pm - Clothes Swap (you will have an hour and a half to look for items).*A light vegetarian lunch is also included in your ticket.
