A wonderfully endearing and intimate story of Mahin a retired nurse who at 70 lives alone in Tehran. With her husband long dead, and her daughter and grandchildren residing abroad, her life has gradually become a lonely place. That’s how Mahin ends up inviting Faramarz, an unmarried taxi driver her own age, to her home for an intimate night of orange-blossom sponge cake, illicit wine and company. A truly beautiful film.

To provide easier parking options for Boroondara Seniors Film Festival screenings at the Lido Cinemas, we are introducing a new free shuttle bus service. This service will transport attendees from a designated local carpark, with free unrestricted parking, to the cinema and then returned.
