'Vivid Reverie, a Symphony in Still Life’ by Penelope Lau – online exhibition

Dynamic and detailed, ‘Vivid Reverie, a Symphony in Still Life’ by Penelope Lau explores how household objects reflect identity and self-expression. Through gentle colours, intimate scale, considered composition and exceptional technical skill, Penelope tests the bounds between still life and portraiture. Exploring the personal and social meaning behind objects, Penelope’s works tell a story while providing insight into a person’s life.

Penelope Lau is the winner of the 2023 Boroondara Arts Encouragement Award, awarded annually to a local exhibitor in the Camberwell Art Show and recognising excellence in contemporary visual art.
