Citizen of the Year Awards 2010

Do you know someone who works to improve the quality of life for others or is a role model for our community?

We are now calling for nominations for the 2010 Boroondara Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards.

About the Awards

Each year Council seeks to recognise with the Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards the often unsung heroes in our community who give generously of their time and expertise to help others.

These may be your neighbours, colleagues and family members who volunteer for charity work; those who never hesitate to join an important community initiative; those who strive to improve the community services and facilities of Boroondara and of course, tomorrow's leaders full of youthful enthusiasm.

The Awards will be announced at the Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony in Boroondara on 26 January 2010.

Eligibility

The Awards are open to Australian citizens working, studying or living in Boroondara.

The Young Citizen of the Year Award recipient must be under 26 years old, as at 26 January 2010.

If you know someone who meets the criteria, please nominate them for one of these important awards.

Nominations must be received by 5pm on Friday 20 November 2009.
