Experience the beauty and passion of this exquisite repertoire as our rising opera stars showcase their vocal prowess and emotional depth. From the enchanting melodies of Debussy and Faure, to the dramatic storytelling of Ravel, immerse yourself in the artistry and sophistication of French musical tradition.Art Song emerged in the 19th Century and has been a popular form of musical expression for composers and singers ever since. It's a genre of classical music that's typically composed for solo voice and piano to express the sentiments of poetry through music. Our Scholars have been hard at work interpreting these beautiful texts – getting to the heart of the emotional truth they represent.Our four finalists will present a short program of their choosing, accompanied by Dean Sky-Lucas and Rhodri Clarke.
